Guernica Guernica

Long-time collaborators of the Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, the Belgian collective FC Bergman returns with a large-scale triptych without words exploring the impossibility of depicting war. Inspired by Picasso’s response to the 1937 bombing of Guernica, the spectacular multimedia work examines three roles: victims, perpetrators, and spectators. With 80 performers and facing grandstands that force audiences to watch each other watching, Guernica Guernica makes the act of looking central.
