Set within a carefully constructed artificial landscape, a solitary figure oscillates between the figures of Narcissus, encountering only herself, and Echo, endlessly seeking relation. Hess’s choreographic work, known for its combination of physical precision and emotional intensity, engages with a contemporary condition of saturation and fatigue, where attention is strained and feeling risks becoming blunted.
